    Searchable scanned PDF

Make a scanned PDF searchable so you can find words and select recognized text. OCR adds a text layer to the rendered pages. Review recognition quality on names, numbers and faint scans before relying on search results.

    How to use this tool

    1. Choose your source file, drag it into the upload area, or import a direct public file URL.
    2. Review the settings and create your result.
    3. Download and check the output before using it.

    Output and limitations

Add an English searchable text layer to scanned PDF pages.

English OCR; up to 30 pages. The result is rendered to preserve appearance and add searchable text. Links, forms, signatures and original document metadata are not preserved.

    Where are my files processed?

On the configured processing server. Your browser uses a private job token to retrieve the result. Files are automatically removed after expiration or when you download the result.

    What if processing fails?

Check the supported formats and file limits, then try a smaller file. Keep an original copy. A clear error message will explain an unsupported input or an unavailable processing service.
